Playground & recess rules
1. Students are to follow the instruction of the recess supervisors.
2. Students are to respect each other on the playground
3. Students are not to leave school property during recess.
4. Students are not to reenter the building with out permission.
5. Students are not to loiter near the building entrances.
6. Students should go out doors for recess periods, however, if for some medical reason. The student cannot participate in outdoor recess; the students should bring anote from the parent.
7. if there is request for a period of 3 days or longer of indoor recess, students should bring anote from the doctor
8. Throwing or picking up stones or other items isn't allowed on school property.
9. Balls shouldn't be thrown against any building.
10. Skateboards, roller blades, pego sticks, aluminum bats, hardballs and other items which are deemed potentially dangerous are not allowed on the playground during school hours.
11. Students are not to kick basket balls.
12. No tackle games are allowed.
13. Fighting is not allow
14. Playground equipment should be used appropriately.
   



Attendance
1. Regular and punctual is a serious responsibility of both parents and students. Irregular attendance may seriously interface with child's opportunility to secure the full advantage of the class.
2. Each time a child misses school; he/she must bring written excurse, dated and sighted by the parent or guardian satiating the reason of his/ her absence.
Please notify the school office between 8.30 and 9.00 am.
3. no students shall be permitted to leave school before dismissal time except in case of sickness or emergency; parents should come to the headmistress /master's office when chilled is being picked up.
4. To be excurse from school, a written statement for the parents is requested .is requested. Is to be approved by the headmistress /master. The chilled will be called for and signed out at the office.



Internet access
1. It is essential for ach user on the internet to recognize his/ her responsibility in having access to vast services, site, systems and people .the user is ultimately responsible for his/ her action in accessing network services.
2. The internet is not a single network; rather it is a group of southland of individual networks, which have been chosen to allow traffic to pass through them.
3. With access to computers and people all over the world also comes the availability of material that may not be considered to be educational value . fis will endeavor to prevent access to unsuitable and controversial materials, however on a global network, it's impossible to control all materials and an industrious user may discover controversial information . We extremely believe that the valiable information and interaction available on this worldwide network for outweigh the possibility that uses may procure material that isn't consistent with educational goals.
4. Prepatory and secondary school student and their parents will be asked to read and sign a document prior to the students being allowed to "surf the web"
5. Using the internet is a privilege, not aright this privilege may be revoked at any time for abusive contact .such conduct could include:
  The placing of unlawful information on the system (including copyrighted material)
.the use of abusive or otherwise objectionable language in either public or private messages.
the sending of "chain letter" or "broadcast" messages to lists or individual, and any other types of use which would case congestion of the networks.

uniform
  Student should appear neat and clean each day.
  Remember that your child's appearance affect his/her general well being and may even affect his/her relation with others.
  The school uniform must be worn at all times .a training suit is required only on those days when the student has sports lesson or an activity.


lunch
  School is a place in which proper procedure and acceptable behavior should be fostered and modeled.
The lunch period is not exception. In the lunch period, students will be expected to demonstrate behavior that is appropriate in an eating situation.
  In order to have a more enjoyable lunch period.
 
1. Good manners are expected during lunch period. Any activity should be carried out with respect for others.
2. Students should speak quietly and refrain from throwing food or pooping bags or cartons
3. Running whilst eating or drinking is not permitted in the lunch period.
4 students are not permitted to bring glass bottles to school.
5. The launch area should be kept neat and clean.
6. Students may not return to their class rooms and continue their lunch.




A B C OF DISCIPLINE
At FIS we expect students to develop self-discipline and to behave responsibly towards their teachers all school staff and their fellow students we ask you to read through the following policy carefully and use it as your personal code of conduct.

1. All students are required to conduct themselves in an orderly manner in the school building; school buses and during school excursions.
2. Students are expected to treat all staff members with respect and decency.
3. Students are expected to speak English in school.
4 Student should walk; never run; up and down stairs and in the hallways.
5. Students are expected to complete all assignments (class and home work) set by the teachers.
6. Students are expected to exhibit the highest quality work of which thy are capable.
7. Students are expected to maintain their classrooms in a net and clean manner.
8. Student should damage school property including buildings, classrooms; buses or supplies.
9. if a student uses a bus ; he/she is required to get directly to the designated area for each bus ; once on board ; no student shall get off until arrival at home .
10. Students are not allowed to bring electronic equipment to school. This include CD players, walk men, gameboys, and mobile phones. Student who bring unacceptable devices to school .will take the risk of having them taken away and they will only be returned at the end of the year.


rules of conduct in buses
1. All students must go through the bus gate to their buses immediately
2. Students are to remain in their seats.
3. Students are to keep their heads and hands inside the bus.
4 Students will speak quietly.
5. Eating drinking &chewing gum are not permitted on the bus.
6. Any dangerous objects that must be brought to school for project (glass, jarred.) should be carried by the bus supervisor for safety.
7. No damaging of the bus. The bus is an extension of the school and should be kept clean at all times.
8. Students are to change their bus stop without written request signed by the parent or guardian and approved by the head master /mistress.
8. Riding the bus is privilege. Students to refuse to follow the rules and regulations set by the administration will be reported to the head of department. Parents will be notified of the offending behavior and the student will be suspended from riding the bus, at first temporary and, if necessary, permanently.




Student's evaluation
The basis of student evaluation is fairness. Formal report cards are issued after every examination during the year.
Evaluation procedures include student's marks on exams, work habits, home work assignments, attentiveness in class, general abilities and class projects.


Monthly exams

- prior to the monthly exams you will receive the syllabus covered during that month.
- The dates and exam times are send to you prior to the exams by minimum one week.



Special Policies
1. Traditional School Photos
  Students have their pictures taken and have the opportunity to purchase these pictures at reasonable rates although there is no obligation to do so.
   
2. Food
  Since it has been proven that food affects the level of concentration and health of your child, send a healthy home-made snack. Example include sandwiches, vegetables, fruits, fresh juices, etc. This policy also conflicts among children concerning food. No glass bottles please.
   
3. Valuable items
  Jewelry, expensive school supplies, toys and money are not allowed in school.
   
4. Private tutoring
  Private tutoring is strictly forbidden. Group tutoring will be provided for students with specific needs free of charge.
   
5. Gifts
  F.I.S staffs not accept gifts or presents from any child or parents. Bus supervisors and drivers do not take tips under any circumstances. A simple thank you card will be sufficient.
   
6. Lost and found
  Please label all articles brought to school. The school and its employees are not responsible for articles of student apparel or personal belongings that are lost, stolen, damaged or otherwise not in possession of the students whilst on school property. Lost and found items are located in the students' affair room.
